In a tragic road accident in Nepal, a bus filled with Indian pilgrims slipped from a mountain road and fell into a ditch. Seven Indian passengers died in this accident, while 9 others were injured. Police informed about this incident on Sunday.
This accident happened on Saturday night when devotees were returning after visiting the famous Manakamana temple. Manakamana Temple Nepal Is a popular Hindu pilgrimage site. It is believed that by visiting here the Goddess fulfills the wishes of the devotees.
According to the police, the bus met with an accident near Shahid Lakhan village, located about 120 kilometers west of Kathmandu. This route falls on the hill road leading from the highway to the temple.
It is being told that the bus was going down the slope. During this time, the driver lost control at a turn and the bus slipped from the road and fell into a deep ditch, rolling down the mountain slope about 150 meters below.
According to the report of Associated Press, as soon as the news of the accident was received, the local police and people of the village reached the spot. Together they pulled out the injured from the wreckage of the bus and took them to nearby hospitals with the help of an ambulance.
According to the police, all the seven people killed in the accident were Indian devotees. The injured include seven Indian passengers, while the other two injured are the bus driver and his assistant, who are residents of Nepal.
Police said that post-mortem of the dead bodies will be conducted. After this their bodies will be handed over to the family members.
