‘Dhurandhar 2’ earned ₹27.13 crore before release: 5.38 lakh tickets sold in paid preview show, leaving behind ‘Baahubali 2’ and ‘Stree 2’




Director Aditya Dhar and actor Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ i.e. ‘Dhurandhar 2’ made a record in paid previews even before its release. ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has earned around ₹27.13 crore through paid previews before its release. The film left behind ‘They Call Him OG’ (₹23 crore) and ‘Bahubali 2’ (₹22 crore). This collection is almost three times that of ‘Stree 2”s ₹8.5 crore. Usually producers hold a few selected paid preview shows to gauge audience reaction before the performance. Dhurandhar 2 will be released on March 19. Earlier on March 18, 9550 paid preview shows were organized across the country. Its 5.38 lakh tickets have been sold. The price of a ticket in Mumbai was Rs 3100, while in Delhi it was Rs 2400. In this way, the film has earned ₹27.13 crore in India even before its release. If the already blocked tickets are added, the earning would reach ₹31.9 crore. If we look at the earnings of paid preview shows booked worldwide, it reaches ₹ 60 crores. 1765 shows have been scheduled at 690 locations in the US. 67 thousand tickets have been booked. Earnings across North America have reached $13.1 lakh (₹12.12 crore). According to film critic Taran Adarsh, Dhurandhar 2 is going to create a new benchmark in Hindi film history. On the first day of its release, March 19, the film may earn a global gross of ₹200 crore. Let us tell you that apart from Ranveer Singh in Dhurandhar 2, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and R. Madhavan will also be seen. The film has been written, directed and produced by Aditya Dhar. Along with this, Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar are also producers of the film. The film is presented by Jio Studios and made under the banner of B62 Studios. The film will be released in five languages ​​– Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Dhurandhar had received a great response. It is noteworthy that the first part of the film Dhurandhar had performed brilliantly at the Indian as well as international box office. The film grossed approximately ₹1,303 crore worldwide. The film’s gross collection in India stood at ₹1,005.85 crore, while the net collection was approximately ₹836.95 crore. With this it has become the highest grossing Hindi single-language film in India. The film Dhurandhar got tremendous response in foreign markets also. It did a business of around ₹299.5 crore in overseas. Especially in America and Canada, the film left behind the record of ‘Bahubali 2’ by earning more than ₹ 193.06 crore. Interestingly, the film achieved this huge success even though it was not allowed to be released in the Gulf countries. Apart from this, ‘Dhurandhar’ has also become the highest grossing ‘A’ rated film of Indian cinema.
