समंदर में अचानक जमा हुईं हजारों नौकाएं! ईरान जंग की आड़ में चीन कर रहा बड़ा ‘खेल’ – china fishing boats military preparation amid america israel war iran east china sea taiwan conflict wdrk

At a time when the world is embroiled in two major wars, China has started making its own preparations. On one hand, the Russia-Ukraine war and on the other hand, the Iran war in the Middle East has created a stir in the world. Meanwhile, China is doing something in the sea which has created concern in the Indo-Pacific region. Thousands of Chinese fishing boats have been seen gathering in geometric shapes in the East China Sea. Experts believe that these activities could be part of China’s preparation for a major war.

According to the report of news agency AFP, such activities were first seen on Christmas day at the end of last year. While monitoring data related to ship tracking, expert Jason Wang noticed that something unusual was happening.

Wang is the chief operating officer of ingeniSPACE, a company that analyzes satellite imagery and ship signal data. The fishing boats had gathered in the shape of two parallel inverted ‘L’s. The length of both sizes was about 400 kilometers (about 250 miles).

Wang spotted about 2,000 boats through the Automatic Identification System (AIS). AIS is a GPS-like signal system used by commercial ships to avoid collisions. eastern China Thousands of ships pass through this busy sea route every day.

The AIS systems of the boats gathered at one place showed that they were only 500 meters (about 1,640 feet) apart from each other and remained in place for about 30 hours amid strong winds. After this they suddenly scattered in different directions.

Jason Wang said, ‘I did not find it right because usually very rarely ships are seen in such straight lines. We have seen 200–300 or sometimes up to a thousand Chinese fishing boats together before, but it was unusual for more than a thousand to gather together.

Maritime and military experts reported that on December 25 taiwan He had never seen such a large gathering of Chinese fishing boats about 300 kilometers north-east of India before.

In early January, another incident was seen in the same area, in which about 1,000 Chinese fishing boats gathered in one place for more than a day in an uneven rectangular group about 400 kilometers long.

Wang said that last week also about 1,200 boats gathered in two parallel lines. These boats were further towards the east and remained in place for about 30 hours.

Why are thousands of fishing boats gathered in the sea?

China’s huge fishing fleet is active in the Yellow Sea, East China Sea and South China Sea. In these seas, Chinese fishermen compete with fishermen from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam and the Philippines.

However, it is not clear why such a large number of Chinese fishing boats gathered in geometric shapes in the open sea. But most experts agree that they had not gathered there for fishing.

Some experts say that perhaps the reason for this could be that China was testing its ability to mobilize a large number of fishing boats simultaneously. Such boats can be used in military operations, such as a blockade of Taiwan, an attack on it, or a crisis with Japan.

What did experts say about the gathering of thousands of boats together?

Gregory Poling, director of the Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative at the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), said he had never seen such a large number of Chinese fishing boats together outside the port.

Jennifer Parker, a former Australian naval warfare officer, said the activities appeared to be “a demonstration of military capability” to demonstrate that these boats could coordinate with each other.

He said, ‘I have traveled across the world, but have never seen fishermen working so close and in such a large group. It is clear that they were not gathering there together and catching fish.

David Krudsma, chief scientist at Global Fishing Watch, said the Chinese fishing fleet works in a highly coordinated manner and it is possible that these boats have been ordered not to fish in a particular area.

According to experts, the involvement of such a large number of boats indicates that this was a campaign by the state i.e. China.

Is this China’s planning to occupy Taiwan?

China’s navy ranks first in the world in terms of the number of warships and submarines. Apart from this, Beijing is also preparing to use its huge civilian navy, which includes fishing boats and cargo ships, in case of regional crisis or conflict.

China considers Taiwan as its part and has threatened to take control of it by force if necessary. American officials have expressed the possibility that China may take steps to take control of Taiwan by 2027.

According to the 2025 report of the US Defense Department, China’s People’s Liberation Army is moving towards achieving its military goals by 2027. The report said that the PLA hopes to have the capability to fight and win a war on Taiwan by that time.

Some experts believe that many of the boats seen in December and January may be part of China’s ‘Maritime Militia’. This is a network of such fishing boats which are trained to help the army when needed.

This maritime militia has already been used to strengthen China’s claim on disputed areas in the South China Sea. These boats arrive in groups around the disputed reef in times of need.

Experts say that these boats can have many roles in a military operation, such as harassing warships, becoming targets to confuse the enemy or hindering maritime activities.

Fishing boats are working on Xi Jinping’s big goal

Experts say that these activities of fishing boats are working towards the bigger goal of Chinese President Xi Jinping in which he is preparing his army to capture Taiwan.

Thomas Shugart is a former US Navy submarine warfare officer and is currently an Adjunct Senior Fellow in the Defense Program at the Center for a New American Security.

He says, ‘I cannot say whether Xi Jinping will decide to attack Taiwan or not. But looking at it as an analyst, it seems clear that the preparation orders given to the People’s Liberation Army could create a situation for an attack on Taiwan by 2027.
