Rachi Sharma advised to avoid online scams: Said- be cautious before making emotional connections in the digital world, trust can be dangerous.

The style of relationships is changing rapidly in the digital age. Through social media and online platforms, people connect with each other, make friendships and sometimes even fall in love. But in this digital world, the dangers of fraud and scam have also increased equally rapidly. Keeping this issue at the centre, Colors’ show ‘Do Duniya Ek Dil’ is showing a story where emotions and digital truth come face to face. In the show, actress Rachi Sharma plays the character of Aadhya, a girl torn between two different worlds. In a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, Rachi spoke openly about digital relationships, online fraud and the necessary precautions for today’s youth. He told how people get emotionally connected quickly through social media and why it is very important to be aware and alert in such times. Here are some special excerpts from the conversation: Question: Your character Aadhya in ‘Do Duniya Ek Dil’ is of a girl who is stuck between two worlds. If in real life someone falls in love online and later finds out that he or she is a fraud, what advice would you give? Answer: This has never happened with me, but it has definitely happened with some of my friends. Nowadays people mostly meet online and the conversation starts from there. Gradually people also become emotionally connected. But in such cases it is very important that you remain alert. One should not immediately trust everything on social media. Before trusting someone, it is very important to understand and verify them well. Question: Has digital fraud or online scam ever happened to you or anyone you know? If yes, then how did you handle that situation? Answer: This happened to a friend of mine a long time ago. At that time she did not know much about the scam, so she became its victim. An attempt was made once with me also. Someone called me and said that my father had called him and I should give him the money. But I immediately called my father and confirmed. Then it was revealed that he had not made any such call. This is how I was saved. Nowadays such calls also come from banks or other places, but now we have become very alert through AIDS and awareness campaigns. Question: If you had to give a warning to today’s youth regarding digital relationships, what would you say? Answer: Today a large part of our lives has become digital. Social media and the online world have become very important for us. Therefore the most important thing is awareness. While there are good things, there are also dangers. In such a situation, it is very important to maintain balance and handle every situation wisely. Being smart is the biggest security in the digital world.
