The grand trailer launch event of Yash’s film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups, which was earlier scheduled to be held on March 8 in Bengaluru, has now been cancelled. This happened because the release date of the film has been extended from March 19 to June 4. Producers said that the ongoing tension in the Middle East (West Asia) is affecting the cinema work, due to which this decision was taken. There was a plan to invite media from all over India to Bengaluru for this event. This event was the beginning of the last promotional campaign of the film. The film was earlier scheduled to release on March 19, clashing with Ranveer Singh’s film “Dhurandhar: The Revenge”. However, due to the postponement of the film, Aditya Dhar’s film will now release solo. The film team says that the situation is not good in big markets abroad, especially in the Gulf countries. Recently, the US and Israel attacked Iran, in response to which Iran launched missile attacks on Israel and US bases in the Middle East. This tension has been going on for the last five days. Therefore, it was decided to postpone the release of the film for a better worldwide release. In view of the difficulties being faced in cinema operations, the production house has changed its entire promotional plan. At present, all promotional activities including trailer launch have been put on hold until the new release date gets closer. In an official statement, KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations said that the film has been created as a global cinematic experience. It has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English and will be released dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. He further said that the decision to reschedule the release date was not an easy one, but it was a decision taken in the best interest of audiences and distribution partners around the world. The film has been directed by Geetu Mohandas and co-written by Yash. Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasant and Tara Sutaria also play important roles in the film. The promotional plan of the film will now be reworked according to the new release date of June so that it can reach more people in India and abroad. The new promotional plan of the film will be announced in the coming weeks. Till then, fans will have to wait a little longer for the first glimpse of this much-awaited film.
