The matter of clash between police and army personnel in Ajhai Khurd village under Jait police station area of Mathura has heated up. BSF constable Radhacharan, currently posted in Bikaner, was on leave and had gone to meet his friend Mahesh at his house. Meanwhile, Jait police station in-charge Manoj Kumar Bhati reached there with the police force and allegedly entered the house and started fighting.
According to the police, they had gone to arrest the soldier’s brother Lakshmi Narayan, against whom a case under Section 376 has been registered. Police claim that there was a dispute due to indecency by the soldier, while in the CCTV footage, the inspector is seen punching the soldier.

After the video of the incident surfaced, questions are being raised on the functioning of the police. Victim Mahesh Kumar and soldier Radha Charan allege that Inspector Manoj Bhati entered the house without any reason and assaulted them. When the soldiers protested, they were targeted. This footage captured in CCTV has now become the biggest evidence of the entire case, in which the pushing and shoving between the uniformed policeman and the soldier on leave is clearly visible.
SSP ordered investigation
After the matter came into limelight, SSP Shlok Kumar took immediate cognizance. He has given instructions for an impartial investigation of the entire matter. The investigation of this case has been handed over to CO Sadar Pritam Pal Singh. Police officials say that after the investigation report comes, strict legal action will be taken against whichever party is found guilty.
