The powerful trailer of the film ‘Charak: Fear of Faith’ has been released. This folklore-based thriller, which unravels the complex layers of superstition, tantric rituals and folk beliefs, will release in theaters on March 6, 2026. The film is backed by Sudipto Sen, who previously directed The Kerala Story. Directed by suspense director Shiladitya Maulik, set in the backdrop of Charak Mela, this film brings to the fore the harsh religious rituals prevalent in rural India and the social reality associated with them. Approval received from CBFC: Producer Sudipto Sen said that after the screening of the film, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) committee had raised some objections regarding the subject matter. After this the film was sent to the higher review panel. The film was approved with suggested changes. Gada says that in today’s era, strong content is the biggest attraction. A thought-provoking story like ‘Charak’ will force the audience to think with excitement. Actors like Anjali Patil, Sahidur Rehman, Subhrat Dutta, Shashi Bhushan, Nalneesh Neel, Shankhdeep and Shaunak Shyamal will be seen in important roles in the strong star cast film. ‘Charak: Fear of Faith’ is produced by Dhaval Jayantilal Gada and Sipping Tea Cinema in association with Sudipto Sen Productions, while Rajesh Bhatt is the associate producer.
