A total of 92 mosques and tombs falling on the route of the procession are covered with tarpaulin, so that there is no dispute due to the color falling. Policemen will walk with the procession wearing body cameras
This time the security arrangements have been made more stringent. Policemen will accompany the procession with body cameras, through which live footage of the entire program will be recorded. The administration says that its objective is to maintain transparency and stop any untoward incident immediately. Fire brigade vehicles will also be present during the procession, so that immediate action can be taken in case of emergency.
Barricading at 98 places
Municipal Commissioner Vipin Mishra said that 72 mosques and shrines falling on the procession route of Bade Lat Saheb and 20 religious places on the route of Chhote Lat Saheb have been covered with tarpaulin. He said that barricading is being done at a total of 98 places, so that no color reaches these places during the procession and the atmosphere remains peaceful.
Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi said that traditionally a total of 18 processions are taken out in the district, of which Kotwali, Sadar Bazaar and Ramchandra Mission police station areas are especially sensitive. He said that the police and administration are holding meetings of peace committees at every level and all the arrangements have been implemented with mutual consent.
The administration says that their priority is to carry forward both tradition and communal harmony. For this purpose, special emphasis is being laid on comprehensive security arrangements, technical monitoring and community coordination, so that this unique Holi of Shahjahanpur can be celebrated with peace and enthusiasm.
