Under this, now a global tariff of 10% will be imposed on imports coming from all the countries of the world.
Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social, ‘I am proud to say that from the Oval Office, I have signed a 10% global tariff on all countries, which will go into effect almost immediately.’
Earlier, while addressing the press conference, the US President had said that he will order the imposition of 10% global tariff under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, which will be in addition to the existing tariff. He also said, ‘I can charge much more than this.’
