Actor Rajpal Yadav has recently come out of Delhi’s Tihar Jail. Delhi High Court has granted him interim bail in the check bounce case. Now the actor has opened up about his jail journey, and also shared the toughest part of his time behind bars.
In an interview to Hindustan Times, Rajpal’s wife Radha Yadav said, ‘This matter was going on for many years. I believed it was right to handle it legally. Every possible legal and respectable option was considered. Sometimes the solution is not just about will; It also depends on timing.
How were your days in jail?
Recalling his days spent in jail, the actor said, ‘The most difficult part was staying away from my family. Apart from this I adopted a routine. I used to wake up early and focus on breathing exercises and maintaining mental balance.
Rajpal Yadav Said, ‘After my release, I went straight to my niece’s wedding in Shahjahanpur and was thankful to be with my family. After that difficult period, it meant a lot to be with my loved ones at that moment.
‘I am grateful for the love and good feelings I felt. What stayed with me most during this time was the trust of people: the audience, colleagues and well-wishers. For someone like me, respect, time and being heard matter more than anything else. I will continue to respect the court and follow every instruction. I have taken this stand from the beginning and will let the legal process take its course. There may be fluctuations in work schedule for some time, but I will resume work gradually and responsibly. Acting has been my life for many years, and I am committed to it.

How long was the moratorium on punishment?
Delhi High Court has put an interim stay on the sentence of Rajpal Yadav till March 18. Justice Swarnkant Sharma directed the actor to give a personal bond of ₹ 1 lakh and a surety of the same amount. While granting relief, the court also took note of the outstanding amount of ₹1.5 crore deposited in the respondent’s bank account.
