Another case of rigging in constable recruitment examination has come to light in Bihar. Four candidates have been arrested during the physical efficiency test conducted in Gardnibagh police station area of Patna. The allegation against him is that he got the exam conducted by having another person sit in his place in the written exam.
According to the police, these four candidates had come to appear for the physical efficiency test in the constable recruitment examination conducted by the Central Selection Board. During the examination, when he was identified through fingerprint and face scan, his biometric information did not match with the written examination. After this, the police took him into custody and interrogated him strictly.
The deal was done for Rs 50-50 thousand
Gardnibagh police station SHO Pramod Kumar said that all the four arrested candidates are the original candidates, but they had appointed someone else in their place in the written examination. During interrogation, it was revealed that each candidate had given Rs 50,000 to Alok Kumar (resident of Arwal) who took the exam in their place.
The arrested candidates include Rajesh Kumar (Saran), Ranveer Kumar (Lakhisarai) and Sanjeet Kumar. The name of the fourth accused will be clarified after verification by the police. All the accused have been sent to judicial custody and further investigation of the case is going on.
Police say that till now more than three dozen ‘Munna Bhai’ have been arrested on charges of rigging the constable recruitment process. The police is investigating the entire network so that the gang involved in exam manipulation can be exposed. It is clear from this action that the biometric verification system is proving effective in maintaining transparency in the examination.
