A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Madhaugarh Kotwali area of Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh, which has shocked the entire area. Here a 16-year-old teenager was murdered by his own friends and to destroy the evidence, the body was cut into pieces and buried in the courtyard of the house. As soon as information about the incident came to light, there was an uproar in the village and the family members started crying and crying. The people of the village are also shocked by this incident that the friends on whose trust Kamal had left the house, became the cause of his death.
The deceased has been identified as Kamal Pratap Singh (16), son of Parmal Singh, resident of village Rudpura. On March 25, he left home saying he was going to his friends, but did not return till late in the night. The family members searched for him extensively, but no clue was found. After this the family lodged a missing report with the police.
When no information was received even after almost ten days had passed, the police started questioning Kamal’s two friends Rohit and Tej Pratap by taking them into custody on the basis of suspicion.
Horrible truth revealed during interrogation
Initially both the accused kept misleading the police, but after strict interrogation they confessed to the murder. The statement of the accused shook even the police officers.
The accused told that out of fear of being caught, after killing Kamal, they cut the body into pieces, put them in a sack and buried them by digging a pit in the courtyard of their house. As soon as this was revealed, the police team immediately left for the spot.
Seeing the seriousness of the incident, the police officers took the entire matter on priority and intensified the action.
Dead body found in digging of enclosure
At the behest of the accused, the enclosure was excavated in the presence of the magistrate, from where the mutilated body of the teenager was recovered. During this, the police and field unit team collected evidence from the spot.
The Panchayatnama proceedings were completed after taking possession of the body and it was sent for post-mortem. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, senior police officers also reached the spot and inspected.
Both the accused are said to be minors and the police is trying to ensure strict legal action based on scientific evidence.
Police investigation continues, reason still unclear
According to Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Kumar, on March 27, the deceased’s father Parmal Singh had given a written complaint about his son’s disappearance, on the basis of which a case was registered.
On April 8, information was received that the body of the missing teenager was buried in the soil in Rohit’s enclosure. Police have recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem and evidence has been collected by the field unit.
At present the reasons for the murder are not clear and the police is investigating from every aspect. It is being said that soon the case will be successfully exposed on the basis of evidence and facts.
