मेरठ: सेंट्रल मार्केट में ध्वस्तीकरण का डर, व्यापारियों ने दुकान पर लगाए सपा के झंडे; BJP कार्यकर्ताओं ने उतरवाए – Traders in Meerut Central Market Raise Samajwadi Party Flags Against BJP Government Amid Fears of Demolition LCLAM

Uttar Pradesh News: On Thursday, traders in the Central Market located in Shastri Nagar, Meerut put up Samajwadi Party flags on their shops in protest against the demolition order of the Supreme Court. The market is in danger of collapse due to commercial construction on residential plots, due to which angry traders took this step due to lack of support from local BJP representatives.

After the video went viral, local BJP workers reached the spot and got the flags removed. During this time, the police detained about four businessmen, who were later released after the uproar by SP workers.

Sword of demolition and resentment against BJP

Traders of the Central Market allege that after the order of the Supreme Court, their business is in danger. One complex has already been demolished and now action is being taken against the remaining shops as well. Traders say that the representatives of the ruling party are not supporting them in this hour of crisis. Fed up with this neglect, they put SP flags on the roofs and shutters of their shops to protest.

‘Is the SP flag a Taliban flag?’

SP worker Sudeep Jain has raised strong questions on the police action in this matter. He said that the business of the traders is on the verge of collapse and they are protesting in a democratic manner. Sudeep Jain sarcastically asked whether the SP flag is a foreign or Taliban flag and the police are detaining businessmen for hoisting it? Terming it as murder of democracy, he condemned the attitude of the government and administration.

Market tension and police intervention

As soon as the video of the flag hoisting went viral on social media, a tussle started between BJP supporters and SP workers. As soon as the information was received, heavy police force reached the spot and controlled the situation. As soon as the news of the traders being detained spread, there was anger in the SP camp, after which the police released the detained people. At present, there is a tense calm in the market and traders are pleading to save their ‘existence’.
