On normal days, the temple administration prohibits VIP treatment in view of the crowd, but on Sunday, special arrangements were made for women devotees. The women coming to the temple were given complete VIP like facilities from entry to queue and early darshan, due to which a lot of enthusiasm was seen among the women devotees.

This special initiative was taken keeping in mind the respect and convenience of women in the court of Baba Vishwanath, considered one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. A separate and accessible darshan route was arranged for women in the temple premises, so that they do not have to wait long in long queues and can easily have darshan of Baba.

Special darshan arrangement started with Mangala Aarti

Special darshan arrangements for women in Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple were started with Mangala Aarti on Sunday morning. According to the temple administration, this arrangement will be in force throughout the day and will continue till 11 pm. During this period, women devotees coming to the temple are being given entry and darshan facilities on priority basis.

The aim of the temple administration is to make the darshan route and arrangements more accessible for women through this special initiative. as well as international women’s day While underlining the importance of women, social sensitivity towards women’s respect is also to be promoted. Due to this arrangement, a large number of women devotees were also seen in the temple premises.

Chief Executive Officer of the temple, Vishwa Bhushan Mishra said that in Indian tradition, women have always been considered the embodiment of power. Lord Shiva himself in the form of Ardhanarishwar gives the message that both men and women have equal importance in the balance of creation.

He said that the non-dual form of Shiva and Shakti is a symbol of dignity, strength and respect of women. Keeping this sentiment in mind, this special arrangement has been started in Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple on the occasion of Women’s Day, so that women can have darshan of Baba Vishwanath with reverence, devotion and respect.
