The country’s first National Cow Culture Museum will be established in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. This museum will be built in the campus of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Veterinary Sciences University. Land has been selected for this project to be built on the initiative of Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad. According to officials, this museum will simultaneously display the religious, cultural, spiritual and scientific importance of the cow dynasty.

According to the news agency report, Agra Divisional Commissioner Nagendra Pratap said that the objective of the museum is to make the common people aware about the usefulness of cow and its related products. He said that this museum will be a unique confluence of tradition and science, which will help in understanding cow conservation from a holistic perspective.

On Saturday, Vice President of Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad Shailjakant Mishra, Divisional Commissioner Nagendra Pratap, District Magistrate CP Singh, Mathura-Victory Chairman of Vrindavan Development Authority Lakshmi N, CEO of Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad Suraj Patel, Environment Consultant Mukesh Sharma and Dr. Amit Shukla of Veterinary University inspected the proposed site and discussed the outline of the project.

About 100 digital and symbolic models of major cow breeds and endangered breeds from across the country will be displayed in the museum. Its objective is to introduce the coming generations to India’s rich cow tradition and biodiversity.

Mathura’s Cow Museum will become a confluence of tradition and science

A major attraction of the museum will be an exhibition based on milk and its products like milk, curd, cheese and ghee. In this, the scientific, nutritional and Ayurvedic benefits of these products will be explained through modern technologies. Apart from this, a dairy parlor will also be built in the campus, where pure dairy products will be made available.

Officials say that in Indian culture, cow has been given the status of mother and it has special importance in Sanatan tradition. This museum will show that cow protection is not just a subject related to agriculture or economy but is also related to religious faith, lifestyle and social welfare.

It is being told that on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, this national level project will give a new height to the identity of Braj region and will play an important role in promoting cow-based economy on scientific basis.
