According to police investigation, first of all husband Bhanu Chander Reddy committed suicide by hanging himself inside their flat. It is being told that when wife Shazia saw her husband in this condition, she was extremely shocked. After this he allegedly jumped from the 17th floor, due to which he died on the spot. This entire incident happened very fast.
The incident occurred in Tower 6 of Niku Homes 1 Apartment of Bharatiya City, which is located on Thanisandra Main Road. The husband’s body was found in the 8th floor flat, while the wife committed suicide by jumping from the 17th floor. This high-rise building is very popular in the area and a large number of IT professionals live here.
Police have registered separate UDR (Unnatural Death Report) in this case. UDR number 14/2026 has been registered in the case of Bhanu Chander Reddy and UDR number 15/2026 has been registered in the case of Shazia. Both the cases have been registered under section 194 of BNSS and further investigation has been started.
The deceased Bhanu Chander Reddy was a resident of Siddipet district of Telangana. His wife Shazia was also a resident of Medak district of Telangana. The families of both have been informed about the incident and they are reaching Bengaluru. There is mourning in both the families due to this news.
Initial police investigation has revealed that there was a marital dispute going on between the husband and wife for a long time. It is being told that there were frequent fights between the two since their marriage. However, the police is investigating in depth to find out the real reason behind these disputes.
According to sources, both were with each other for about 9 years. Before marriage, he had also been in a live-in relationship. But after marriage their relationship turned sour and the tension increased with time. This tension could have been the reason for this tragic incident.
Police are also investigating from this angle whether Bhanu Chander Reddy was suffering from any health problem, which forced him to take this step. If so, then this could also be a major reason behind this incident. Medical records are being examined and close people are being interrogated.
Information about the complainants has also come to light in this case. Shazia’s father Mohammad Siraj has filed a complaint regarding her death, while in Bhanu’s case, her relative Mani Chander Reddy has filed a police report. On the basis of both the complaints, the police have taken the investigation forward.
After the incident, the forensic team reached the spot and collected evidence. Police have sent both the bodies for postmortem, so that the exact cause of death can be clarified. Besides, the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby is also being scrutinized so that the incident can be understood completely.
At present, Kothanur police is investigating the entire matter from every angle.
