Iran will charge toll on Hormuz

On Thursday, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi also announced that the country is preparing a protocol with Oman to ensure the safe movement of ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is reportedly planning to charge toll from $1 per barrel and is considering options like Chinese yuan or stablecoin for payment.

According to the report, to approve the ships, they will have to give their detailed information to the intermediaries associated with IRGC.
