Firefighters brought the fire under control after four hours of continuous hard work. However, during this time the chemical kept in the truck spread in the fields and the potato crop nearby also caught fire.

A local youth told that he saw smoke coming out of the container running on the highway, after which he stopped the driver and helped in taking out the drum. However, after the fire spread, the container was completely burnt to ashes.
At present the police is investigating the chemical drums taken out from the container. Besides, it is also being ascertained from where the inflammable chemical was being brought and why it was being carried hidden under the grass of the cooler.
