The time for examinations has started and matriculation and intermediate examinations are being conducted across the country. The government and local administration are taking full caution to stop copying. Meanwhile, a unique case has come to light from Garhwa district of Jharkhand, where elaborate arrangements were made for the examination of a single student.
Why did the entire system shut down?
In the matriculation examination, a student named Shankar Kumar Singh had chosen music as a subject and his examination center was made the upgraded middle school. Extraordinary security arrangements were made to monitor him during the examination. CCTV cameras were installed in the entire chamber, a magistrate was deployed, 18 surveillance teams were active and 12 policemen were present. Such a large-scale arrangement for a single candidate has become a cause for discussion.
A total of 406 students are appearing for the examination at the said centre, out of which three were absent. According to Center Superintendent Harsh Jyoti Shukla, basic facilities like drinking water and toilets were provided to the students. All the examinations were conducted under the surveillance of cameras. The examinations of all subjects at this center ended with the examination of Sanskrit subject on Monday.
