Along with him, some of his family members are also there, which are said to include children and relatives.

Maulana Abbas Mehndi ‘Sadaf’, brother of Maulana Zafar Faizi, resident of Barabanki, said that he had talked to his brother immediately after the attack.

He told that he had talked to his brother after the attack. He said that there has been an attack on the border of Qum city, but at present the situation is under control and people are moving normally. However, since then contact has not been possible, due to which the family is upset.

Similarly, Maulana Ali Mehdi of Katra locality is also present in Kum. His family members have also said that contact has been lost. Many other families are also going through the same situation, where they are not getting any clear information regarding the safety of their loved ones.

The concern of the families is that people are gathering in mosques and praying for the safety of their family members. Collective prayers are being offered at various places. Local people have appealed to the government to ensure the safety of Indian citizens stranded in Iran and take concrete steps to bring them back safely as soon as possible. People say that considering the current international situation, the situation may worsen, hence timely action is necessary.
