Initially after the attack, contact was possible with some people, but gradually the communication stopped completely. This situation has further increased the concern of the family members. Maulana Abbas Mehndi ‘Sadaf’, brother of Maulana Zafar Faizi, resident of Barabanki, said that he had talked to his brother immediately after the attack.
He told that he had talked to his brother after the attack. He said that there has been an attack on the border of Qum city, but at present the situation is under control and people are moving normally. However, since then contact has not been possible, due to which the family is upset.
Similarly, Maulana Ali Mehdi of Katra locality is also present in Kum. His family members have also said that contact has been lost. Many other families are also going through the same situation, where they are not getting any clear information regarding the safety of their loved ones.
The concern of the families is that people are gathering in mosques and praying for the safety of their family members. Collective prayers are being offered at various places. Advocate Dilkash Rizvi said that initially there was talk with some people, but now the contact has been completely lost. The family is under great stress.
Appeal to the government – people trapped in Iran should be brought back soon
Local people have appealed to the government to ensure the safety of Indian citizens stranded in Iran and take concrete steps to bring them back safely as soon as possible. People say that considering the current international situation, the situation may worsen, hence timely action is necessary.
This entire incident has created an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty in Barabanki. Every household has only one question – are their loved ones safe?
