A 48-year-old shopkeeper died under mysterious circumstances after falling into a drain in front of the Royal Green Hotel in Patel Nagar of Sihanigate police station area of Ghaziabad late on Sunday night. In which it was told that a person had fallen into the drain in front of the hotel and his scooter was lying on the roadside. According to the information received from the police, Ritesh, who informed about the incident, told the police that he was coming from Mohan Nagar, when his eyes fell on the scooter number UP14 DM 6113 which had fallen on the roadside. Whose light was burning. When he became suspicious, he looked around and found a person lying in an unconscious state in a nearby drain. With the help of passersby present at the spot, the person was pulled out of the drain and immediately sent to MMG Hospital. Besides, information was also given on dial-112. On reaching the hospital, doctors declared the person dead.

Based on the registration details of the scooter, the deceased has been identified as Shankar Lal Garg. Jo Dasna Gate, Police Station Kotwali Ghaziabad Were residents of. The family members told the police that the deceased used to go to throw garbage every night after closing the shop and return home after worshiping at Kesari Mata temple. The incident site was inspected in the presence of ACP and other officers. The footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby was scrutinized, but no clear evidence of being hit by any other vehicle emerged. Even in the testing of the scooter, no signs of collision were found. Prima facie it is suspected that due to the plastic bucket placed on the scooter, the vehicle became unbalanced and turned towards the drain and this accident occurred.
At present, the police have taken the body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem and the entire matter is being investigated thoroughly. Law and order remain normal in the area, while there is deep mourning among the family members over the incident.
