Kanpur Central Railway Station was threatened with a bomb for the second time within 36 hours. Due to which the administration got frustrated. After Dhammi, a search operation was conducted at the station on Friday. But nothing suspicious was found. A police officer gave this information to a news agency.

Nothing suspicious was found during the search

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Satyajit Gupta said that at around 7 pm, an emergency call came to the 112 control room in which a warning was given about blowing up the railway station. He told that after the alert, high-security action was taken immediately. In which senior police and administrative officers, heavy police force, Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), Anti-Sabotage Check Team and Dog Squad reached the station.

Police and security teams conducted strict checking of all platforms, circulating areas, waiting halls, parcel offices and parking zones to avoid any threat. During the operation, all suspicious items were checked and the movement of passengers was closely monitored. The officer said that no explosive or objectionable thing was found.

Second threat given within 36 hours

This was the second bomb threat at the station in less than 36 hours. Earlier on Thursday, a similar threatening call was received at around 8.30 am, after which a complete security check was conducted. During investigation of Friday’s call, the police found the phone number of a man named Anil.

During interrogation, he told the officers that his mobile phone was missing since February 24, due to which it is suspected that this threat might have been given using the lost device. He said that the police are checking the call detail records and scanning the CCTV camera footage to identify the real caller.
