ऑयल मार्केट में रोजाना नहीं आएगा 31 करोड़ लीटर तेल, होर्मुज में अमेरिकी नाकेबंदी का ऐसा होगा असर – Iranian port blockade hormuz starts by America iran trump impact oil flows ntcppl
The US Army has started the blockade of all the ports and coastal areas of Iran on Monday. US Central Command has announced that a blockade has been implemented against ships of all countries entering or leaving Iranian ports and coastal areas as of 6:30 pm Iranian time.
This blockade means that 20 lakh barrels per day iranThis oil will not come into the oil market. 20 lakh barrels i.e. approximately 31 crore liters of crude oil. Stopping oil shipments from Iran would cut off an important source of oil from world markets. Iran exported 1.84 million barrels of crude oil per day in March and 1.71 million bpd so far in April, according to Kpler data; In comparison, average exports for the full year of 2025 were 1.68 million barrels per day.
Kpler is a leading data and analytics company providing real-time data, analytics and insights on global trade across more than 40 commodities such as Crude Oil, Refined Products, LNG, LPG, Natural Gas.
However, before the war started on February 28, a sudden increase in Iran’s oil production was seen. According to Kpler data, more than 180 million barrels of oil were loaded on ships as of the beginning of this month.
How much oil is coming from other oil producers in the Gulf?
Shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has almost come to a standstill despite a 15-day ceasefire agreement signed between Washington and Tehran last week. Even on Monday, oil tankers remained away from this strait.
Geo News claims that on Sunday, two Pakistan-flagged tankers, Shalimar and Khairpur, entered the Gulf to load cargo from the UAE and Kuwait; A third ship, VLCC Mombasa B, flagged by Liberia, also passed through the strait on Sunday and was anchored in the bay.
Another Malta-flagged VLCC, Agios Fanourios I, had attempted to pass through the strait on Sunday to load Iraqi crude oil bound for Vietnam. This ship has now returned and has anchored near the Gulf of Oman.
On Saturday, three fully loaded supertankers passed through Hormuz. These appeared to be the first ships to leave the Gulf following the US-Iran ceasefire agreement.
According to Kpler, as of last Tuesday, about 187 filled tankers were present inside the bay.
Which importers have been most affected?
Before the war, most of Iran’s oil exports were sent to China, the world’s largest crude oil importer. Last month, the US announced sanctions relief, allowing buyers including India to import Iranian oil. On Monday, two ships carrying Iranian oil reached India. But if the blockade continues, the supply chain of Asian countries may be affected.
Before the war, about 20% of the world’s oil and natural gas exports came through the Strait of Hormuz. Most of these goods were headed towards Asia, which is the largest importing region.
Which ports of Iran will be affected?
According to the US Army, due to this blockade, all the ports of Iran located in the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman will be affected. Out of total 11 major ports of Iran, 8 southern ports will be completely blocked.
These ports are- Kharg Island, Bandar Abbas, Asluyeh, Chabahar, Bushehr, Bandar Mahshahr, Asluyeh and Bandar Jask.
