Sakhar Kaushik, a resident of Nagar Kotwali area of Bulandshahr, UP, was murdered by his friends and transgender Aman alias Avantika. On March 30, accused Deepak called Sakshar to a mango orchard in Secunderabad on the pretext of a party to pass the examination. There Deepak, Devesh, Shubham and transgender Aman had a dispute after drinking alcohol and beat Sakshar to death with bricks and sticks.
To hide the identity, the accused buried the body by digging a pit in the garden itself. This entire incident was carried out out of a love affair with a transgender and a rivalry to get rid of her. At present, the police have arrested the murderers. The matter has become a topic of discussion in the area.
Relations with transgenders took a deadly turn
Police investigation revealed that Sakshar, Deepak and Devesh were in love with transgender Aman alias Avantika. Aman wanted to get rid of Sakshar, for which he along with Deepak planned the murder. Police have recovered the deceased’s purse, Aadhar card, PAN card and the brick used in the murder from the accused. The arrested accused include Aman, Devesh and Shubham, whose interrogation is ongoing.

Additional Superintendent of Police Shankar Prasad said that the body has been recovered on the instructions of Devesh. This case is not only a heinous crime, but also raises serious social questions like increasing sexual frustrations among the youth and pull towards unnatural relationships. At present, the main accused Deepak is still away from the police, in search of whom raids are being conducted continuously. Police is ensuring strict legal action in this matter.
