A big update has come out regarding the supply of LPG gas. The tanker named ‘Jag Vasant’ has reached Kandla Port. It has reached Gujarat via Hormuz. More than 42 thousand metric tons of LPG gas has been brought in this ship.
This consignment has come at the same time when there is a lot of uncertainty regarding the supply of energy across the world. Kandla Port Authority said that today itself this gas will be unloaded through mid-sea transfer.
Mid-sea transfer means that gas is transported from a ship at sea to another system or port facilities. Due to this, the gas comes out faster, time is saved and the supply also starts quickly.
This big consignment is expected to further strengthen the availability of LPG gas in the country. Especially when there is some instability regarding energy supply in the international market.
Kandla Port is one of the largest energy import ports in India. From here LPG gas is sent to different parts of the country. The arrival of this consignment will help in keeping the domestic LPG supply stable and smooth in the coming days.
Let us tell you that only a few countries have received permission from Iran to take ships through the Hormuz route. India is among those countries which Iran has allowed to use the route.
