‘उनका सर्वनाश तय है…’ ताइवान ने अमेरिकी मिसाइल लगानी चाही तो अंगार उगलने लगा चीन – china taiwan tension Beijing warning atacms deployment himaras launchers ntcppl
China has once again shown its arrogance towards Taiwan. Beijing has warned Taiwan of ‘apocalypse’, saying that if this country uses the missiles received from America in Mainland China, then this step would be inviting its complete destruction. This threat from China has come when media reports are claiming that Taiwan is considering deploying HIMARS launchers equipped with ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles received from America.
Russia Today has said in one of its reports that the use of this launcher taiwan Sensing the threat from China, it can do so.
The deployment of this missile has created a shiver in Chinese security and diplomatic circles. Taiwan wants to deploy these missiles near its islands which are located close to China.
On Tuesday, Chinese military spokesman Jiang Bin criticized the idea of forward deployment and said that Speculation about the use of such systems to attack China is “highly absurd and overconfident”. He said that such things are being spread by people advocating formal independence of Taiwan. He warned that this risked igniting a war and that if a war broke out, “their annihilation is certain.”
Tightening its security measures, Taiwan has ordered the purchase of 82 M142 HIMARS systems and 420 ATACMS missiles from America. In December last year itself, America had announced this mega deal with Taiwan in exchange for 11.1 billion dollars.

The range of these ballistic missiles is 300 km. This means that if they are deployed on Penghu and Dongyin islands, then these missiles will be able to target the coastal areas of China. A naval exercise near Taiwan in late December was criticized in Chinese media coverage. In this report, emphasis was laid on the potential danger posed by the HIMARS system.
Understand about HIMARS launcher and ATACMS missiles
HIMARS i.e. High Mobility Artillery Rocket System is a light, wheeled multiple rocket launcher of the US Army. Its full name is M142 HIMARS. It has been developed by defense company Lockheed Martin and is based on the FMTV 5-tonne truck.
It weighs approximately 13-16 tonnes, has a crew of 3 and is known for its “shoot-and-scoot” tactics.
HIMARS carries a launch pod, fitted with either 6 GMLRS rockets or 1 ATACMS missile. ATACMS i.e. Army Tactical Missile System, MGM-140 is a solid-propellant ballistic missile. Its length is 4 meters, diameter is 61 cm, weight is 1,300-1,700 kg.
Its range in different variants ranges from 165-300 km. It is GPS/INS guided, so the accuracy is very high. The system proved effective in the Ukraine War, where HIMARS targeted Russian logistics. ATACMS delivers precision strikes on deep enemy targets such as command posts, airfields.
The dispute has been going on since 1949
The dispute between Taiwan and China has been going on since 1949. After World War II, there was a civil war in China in which the Communist Party won. The defeated Nationalist government (Kuomintang) fled to Taiwan and established the Republic of China (ROC). Since then, China considers Taiwan as its integral part and does not consider it a separate country under the “One China Policy”.
China says that it can also use force if necessary. Whereas Taiwan considers itself an independent, democratic country, with a separate identity, government, army and economy. At present tension has increased between the two countries. China regularly conducts military exercises, conducts aircraft flights and sends ships around Taiwan.
Keeping in mind the geopolitical needs, America provides arms to Taiwan and promises to protect it.
