A major agreement has been reached between Pakistan and Iran amid the ongoing war in the Middle East. Iran has allowed 20 more Pakistani ships to pass through its maritime zone, the Strait of Hormuz. This information has been given by Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar himself.

Ishaq Dar Announcing this on the social media platform ‘X’, it has described it as a ‘harbinger of peace’. Under the agreement with Iran, these 20 additional ships will be given way under a process.
Ishaq Dar wrote on ‘X’, ‘I am happy to inform that the Government of Iran has sent 20 more ships under Pakistani flag Strait of Hormuz Has agreed to let it pass through. Two ships will cross this strait daily. This is a welcome and constructive step from Iran. This is worthy of praise. This is a sign of peace and will help in bringing stability in the region.
According to Dar, these talks, diplomacy and such confidence-building measures are the only way forward.
PM Shahbaz Sharif also talked to Iranian President
before this Pakistan Iran’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke on the phone with Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian. During this phone conversation that lasted for more than an hour, he strongly condemned the recent Israeli attacks on Iran and the targeting of civilian infrastructure.
Shehbaz Sharif expressed condolences for those who lost their lives in the attacks and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. The Prime Minister informed about Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to promote peace and dialogue in the region, which was also praised by the Iranian President.
