ईरानी मिसाइल हमलों से दहला इजरायल का ‘लिटिल इंडिया’, डिमोना में फेल हुआ एयर डिफेंस सिस्टम – Dimona missile strike Little India Israel Iran Israel war nuclear reactor town ntc ksrj
The ongoing war between Israel and Iran took a frightening turn on Saturday evening when an Iranian ballistic missile fell on the southern Israeli city of Dimona. The city is not only home to Israel’s nuclear reactor, but is also known as ‘Little India’ due to its huge Indian population. At least 47 people have been injured in this attack.
According to local people, the missile fell on a community building, due to which the old houses nearby were also damaged. Most of the people reached the shelter in time, due to which major damage was avoided.
According to ‘Magen David Adam’ (MDA), a 12-year-old child is seriously injured after being hit by debris and shrapnel. Apart from this, 31 people have been slightly injured and 14 people have been admitted to the hospital due to deep anxiety.
Stir in Marathi speaking ‘Little India’
About 30 percent of Dimona’s population (about 7,500 people) is Jews of Indian origin, most of whom hail from Maharashtra. Cricket is also very popular here and Indian sweets and snacks are easily available in the local markets. The streets here are full of Marathi language and Indian tastes (like Sonpapadi, Gulab Jamun, Papdi Chaat and Bhelpuri). There is an atmosphere of fear in the entire community after the attack.
IsraelThe Indian Defense Force (IDF) has admitted that their air defense system failed to intercept this missile. The missile fell on a community building, causing the nearby old houses to collapse. Iran has described this attack as ‘revenge’ for the attack on its Natanz nuclear center.
However, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has clarified that the nuclear research center located in Dimona is safe and there are no signs of any damage.
