West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has given a sharp reaction to President Draupadi Murmu. Mamta Banerjee said that she respects the President, but even if someone comes 50 times, it is not possible to attend every program. She said that she was currently sitting on a dharna and had no knowledge about the program being mentioned.
Mamata Banerjee Said that no information was given to the state government regarding the organizers, funding or organization of that program. He said that whenever the President comes or goes to the state, he gets information about it, but he had no information about the related international conference nor was the state government a part of that program.
President accused of running BJP agenda
Attacking the President, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that she is ashamed to say that the President has been sent to further the BJP’s agenda. He alleged that the President has fallen into the trap of BJP’s policies. Mamta said that BJP’s priority is politics, while her priority is the people.
Questioning the President, he said why was the President silent when atrocities were being committed against tribals in Manipur? Mamata Banerjee also asked why the President did not raise questions in the cases of alleged atrocities against tribals in Rajasthan and Maharashtra.
Advice not to do politics before elections
Mamata Banerjee told the President not to do politics with her before the elections. He said that the state government had not tried to stop any event nor had any connection with that event.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the priority of his government is the well-being of the people of the state. He said that BJP gives priority to politics, while its government keeps the interests of the people above all.
