The minister said that the state government has taken strict action against cow smugglers and in many cases even the National Security Act (NSA) has been imposed. He also said that many butchers caught from Uttar Pradesh have fled to West Bengal after their release.
The minister advised Shankaracharya that if he has to take out a yatra against cow slaughter then he should take it out in West Bengal. He said that he himself is ready to participate in such a journey along with his colleagues and the public.
