However, it was not told why the power supply had stopped. The ministry says that the reasons for this major blackout are being investigated.

The general public is facing huge problems due to power failure. People are also facing disruptions in water supply, mobile network and internet services. Small businesses and industries have also come to a standstill, increasing economic losses.
However, as part of emergency measures, the government has started trying to manage the situation through alternative energy sources and limited supply. Meanwhile, the news is that unless regular supply of fuel is ensured in the country, the risk of blackout will remain.
According to the report, by Monday night, electricity was restored in about 5 percent of Havana, which brought relief to about 42 thousand consumers. But darkness still prevails in large parts of the country.
